Work
My first references are my own businesses. I test every method there before offering it to you.
1001Vinhos — Portuguese wine e-commerce
Google Ads · Merchant Center · Analytics
An online shop selling Portuguese wine, in Portugal and across the rest of Europe.
- The finding: Performance Max campaigns that had hit a ceiling, for want of reliable conversions. GA4 tracking and the shop’s actual sales diverged sharply, and several hundred products were miscategorised in the Merchant Center feed.
- What was done: conversion tracking rebuilt from scratch, product feed cleaned up, a move to a standard Shopping campaign optimised on purchases alone.
- Day to day: an automated weekly report cross-checks the shop, Merchant Center, GA4 and Google Ads, so campaigns are steered on figures that hold up.
Studio Coiffure 41 — hair salon in Villebarou
Local presence · Brochure site
A hair salon in Villebarou, near Blois. An online presence built for local clientele: being found on Google Maps, showing opening hours and services, making it easy to book.
Before Kaluna: nearly ten years at Worldline
Payment systems · Java EE · Team leadership
From 2004 to 2014 I worked at Worldline (Atos group), one of Europe’s main electronic payment companies. I went through every rung there, from development to technical coordination.
- Banking portal and payment acceptance. My early years, in the banking, finance and insurance unit: a web portal for banks with single sign-on, then a back office handling payment transactions.
- Payment platform performance. Benchmarking and optimisation campaigns run at IBM’s centres in France, and a prototype next-generation authorisation server designed with the Spanish teams, sized for very high volumes.
- Leading the Java EE team. For nearly five years I led the team responsible for all of the group’s middleware — application servers, enterprise service bus: ten people, their appraisals and career development, and the creation of the group’s security framework, compliant with the PCI standard that governs payment card data.
- Expertise and passing it on. A member of Worldline’s technical expert group from its inception, organiser of the Tech Forum — the group’s annual technical conference — and involved in tenders alongside the pre-sales teams. I also ran a technical community in Blois, meeting every fortnight.
It taught me what a system nobody should ever see fail actually demands. That is the same rigour I bring today to a brochure site or a company mailbox: at an entirely different scale, but with the same reflexes.
Your project?
Both of these businesses are mine, and I will tell you so plainly. They are my testing ground, and I only apply to your business what has proved itself in my own.
